Vice President for Business and Finance

Mr. Stalnaker was appointed Vice President for Business & Finance effective July 1, 2022. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Stalnaker served as the Interim Vice President for Business and Finance beginning May 1, 2021. Mr. Stalnaker began his career at Georgia Southern in 2005 as a Web Service Architect where he has served in increasingly responsible roles. Prior to his appointment as Interim Vice President for Business & Finance, Stalnaker served as Chief Information Officer for Georgia Southern University, a position he held since 2016.

Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Mr. Stalnaker worked at IBM Global Services, where he led, designed, and managed technology projects for a wide range of clients including Fortune 500 corporations, state and local government entities, K-12 education and several non-profits. While at IBM, he provided strategic guidance to client leadership in the areas of web and mobile development, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, fraud detection, risk and compliance.

Mr. Stalnaker earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Information systems from Georgia Southern University and an Executive MBA from Auburn University.
